Building my ideas...

I have began making my jewellery. It has taken me a while to find a medium which I could use to showcase my love of detailed drawing alongside the quirkiness of my ideas, in jewellery form. Finally I was impressed (and fascinated) with the results I have from transferring my designs on to a plastic material that I can then transform in to lovely yet unusual jewellery pieces.  Although I have only completed 3 designs, as I also have other commitments, hopefully there will be lots more very soon. My first design is the beautiful Edwardian Baroque style, Midland Hotel in Manchester. Second the magnificent Colosseum in the center of the city of Rome, Italy. And third, a suggested piece of the Town Hall in the former mining town of Barnsley. I am contemplating on whether or not to keep these pieces simple as they are in this photo, or if a small bead attached to them would add the finishing touch? Each design is individually hand draw to create a permanent image on to clear, solid plastic and is then attached to a bronze chain. I hope everyone else falls in love with these unique pieces as much as I have.
